Please read the following carefully. By signing the enrolment form you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
Flexible Lesson Options
The standard lesson package consists of eight lessons per term. Flexible arrangements may be made to suit individual needs, including:
- Packages with more or fewer lessons.
- Ad hoc lessons (once-off or irregular scheduling).
Any flexible arrangement must be agreed upon by the School, Teacher, and Parent/Student in advance.
Scheduling
Final scheduling of lessons will be confirmed by the School. While preferences for days and times will be considered, the School reserves the right to allocate lesson slots based on teacher availability and overall scheduling requirements.
Payment & Fees
By signing the enrolment form, you acknowledge and accept the following:
Payment Structure
- Fees are payable per term in advance.
- Monthly payments will only be accepted if specifically arranged with the School beforehand.
Payment Methods
- All payments must be made via the School's approved methods (e.g. EFT or other specified options).
- Proof of payment will be requested to confirm enrolment.
Cancellation & Attendance
Missed Lessons
- Lessons missed by the student are generally not refundable, unless the cancellation is due to the School.
- Students who are mildly ill are encouraged to attend lessons online rather than cancel.
Notice of Cancellation
- Lessons cancelled by parents/students with less than 24 hours' notice will not be rescheduled or refunded.
- At the School's discretion, lessons missed due to illness or emergency may be rescheduled (often as an online lesson).
School / Teacher Cancellations
- If the School or Teacher cancels a lesson, it will be rescheduled at no additional cost.
Public Holidays
- No lessons will take place on public holidays unless mutually agreed upon by both the Teacher and Parent/Student.
Continuation of Lessons
- Lessons will only continue if fees are paid in full for the applicable period (term or month).
Failure to Pay
Failure to pay fees on time may result in:
- Suspension of lessons.
- Late payment penalties (if applicable).
- Termination of enrolment.
Additional conditions:
- A full month's written notice is required to discontinue lessons.
- The School reserves all legal rights and remedies under applicable law to claim damages, recover outstanding fees, and enforce penalties arising from missed or late payments.
- In the event of non-payment, the School may pursue legal action to recover amounts due, together with associated costs including attorney's fees, court costs, and other expenses incurred in enforcement.
Travel Fee
- A standard travel fee of R150.00 applies for all lessons conducted at the student's home.
- Additional charges may apply if the travel distance exceeds the School's standard service radius.
Consent & Indemnity
By signing the enrolment form:
- I consent to the learner participating in all music lessons and related activities.
- I understand that the School will take reasonable precautions to ensure safety.
- I indemnify the School and its staff against liability for accidental injury or loss, except in cases of proven negligence.
